Artificial Dynamics company launch promises new ways to combat malware and increase
online protection
Daresbury, UK (August 3rd, 2007) Artificial Dynamics, a pioneer
in the Web security sector, today announced the official launch of the company and
its website, www.artificialdynamics.com. Paul Kenyon, CEO of the new company, stated,
“We are very excited about the launch and over the coming months will be bringing
the latest technological developments to bring new levels of safety to both personal
and corporate users online.”
Artificial Dynamics is focused on developing products that increase protection from
malicious Web content and keep confidential information from leaving your PC. Mark
Austin, CTO, Artificial Dynamics commented, “The ability of malware to silently
infect PCs and remain undetected has risen exponentially, and antivirus solutions
are no longer dynamic enough to react to today’s internet threats.”
SafeSpace, Artificial Dynamics’ web security product, uses proprietary sandboxing
techniques to protect against previously unknown threats, so that users can browse
the net with a virtual barrier between their PC and the world wide web. In contrast,
traditional approaches to virus protection are becoming less and less effective
as they can only stop threats they recognize. Austin explained, “Many existing antivirus
solutions are whitelist or signature based: if they only look for known files or
familiar code, they are powerless to stop the latest malware threats.”
Artificial Dynamics has been set up as a fully owned subsidiary of well known IT
solutions vendor AppSense Holdings, with the financial stability of the successful
parent company behind it and a team of experienced directors from the IT industry
spearheading this exciting new venture.
